Wittman Presses Congress on Little Wicomico River Jetty Project

Rob Wittman is urging federal action to fix worsening shoaling at the mouth of the Little Wicomico River, telling the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure the jetty and dredging project needs to move forward. Residents in Northumberland County have spent more than a year pushing for repairs as navigation conditions deteriorate, prompting county leaders to pass a resolution calling on state and federal partners to step in. Wittman says he’s carrying that message to Washington, warning delays threaten local waterways and coastal communities that depend on safe access.
