Nearly 9,700 customers of Dominion Energy lost electricity as a winter storm swept through Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Crews worked through cold, windy conditions to restore service, bringing most customers back online as the system stabilized. Cleanup continues, and Dominion says restoration efforts remain ongoing for remaining pockets still in the dark.
