Virginia Democrats Return To Richmond With Ambitious Agenda

Virginia lawmakers are back in Richmond as Democrats aim to leverage their newly unified control. Key priorities they say, include constitutional amendments on abortion, marriage equality, voting rights, and redistricting. Lawmakers also plan to revive proposals blocked under Gov. Youngkin, including a $15 minimum wage, paid sick leave, retail marijuana sales, and an assault weapons ban. Voters could see some constitutional amendments on the ballot as early as April.
