Virginia Democrats Leads Shrinking As Margins Narrow In Statewide Races

A new poll from Virginia Commonwealth University shows Democrats holding leads in all three statewide contests, but their advantages are shrinking. Democrat Abigail Spanberger leads Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears by a slim lead… 49% to 40% for governor, down from a 12-point lead in July. In the lieutenant governor race, Democrats have just a 4 point lead now over the Republicans. In the race for Attorney General, their lead has shrunk to just 6 points. Early voting begins September 19 ahead of the November 4 election.
