The Virginia Department of Transportation will add a left turn lane at General Puller Highway and Regent Road in Hartfield and build a $7 million roundabout at Twigg’s Ferry Road and Stamper’s Bay Road. VDOT says the changes aim to reduce crashes and improve traffic flow along key routes to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Bridge. Preliminary work is underway, with public hearings expected later this year.
