The Urbanna Town Council approved a Special Use Permit on November 13 to convert the second and third floors of the former Bank of Middlesex into two apartments. Construction on the second floor will begin immediately, with the third floor to follow later. The first floor will remain as office or retail space. The building’s exterior will stay unchanged, and the apartments will be high-end, handicapped accessible, and designed to preserve the early 1900s character of the historic structure.
