The Town of Tappahannock has named retired Fredericksburg official Doug Fawcett as interim town manager. Council approved the appointment after former manager Eric Pollitt left for a job in Amelia County. Fawcett brings over 40 years of government experience, including time as Fredericksburg’s public works director and assistant city manager. Meanwhile, Assistant Town Manager James Knighton has been officially named zoning administrator.
