Restoration work on the historic Urbanna Museum and Visitors Center has begun, addressing cracks in the building’s brick walls that date all the way back to the 1760s. The project, estimated to cost about $250,000, is led by specialists who are replacing outdated angle iron with stainless steel to prevent further damage. The Town of Urbanna, along with the nonprofit Friends of Urbanna, has secured grants and donations to fund the repairs, with plans to continue in phases as additional funds are raised.
