Rappahannock Student Chosen For National Civics Fellowship

A Rappahannock High School student has been selected for a competitive national civics program. Gabrielle Lewis of Warsaw is one of just 20 students nationwide chosen for the 2026 student fellowship run by the Bill of Rights Institute and will be the only participant from Virginia. The six-month program focuses on civic education, leadership development, and hands-on engagement, including a capstone experience in Philadelphia. Fellowship leaders say students are selected through a rigorous national process based on essays, nominations, and demonstrated leadership potential.
