Northumberland School Board Offers Top Job To Acting Superintendent

Northumberland’s school board has offered the superintendent position to Dr. Karen Leslie, just days after firing Dr. Holly Wargo. The board voted unanimously Monday to reject Leslie’s resignation and extend the offer. Leslie has been acting in the role since Wargo’s removal. The board also passed a new $22.4 million budget and reviewed improving student test scores, especially in high school world history.
