Middlesex County Land Values Rise 33 Percent Since Last Reassessment

Middlesex County property values have jumped 33 percent since the last reassessment five years ago. Field visits for the current reassessment are expected to finish by late spring or early summer, with final figures effective January 2027 and rate adjustments set for spring 2027. County officials now are eyeing moving to a two-year reassessment cycle to prevent large swings in property values, alternating desk reviews and full field assessments. Taxpayers will retain the right to appeal their assessments to the county’s board of equalization.
