The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors has voted to delay the purchase of body cameras for the Sheriff’s Office. A $20,000 grant, which had to be accepted by March 31, will now lapse, although county officials say they still plan to buy the cameras in the future. Both Sheriff David Bushey and Commonwealth’s Attorney Mike Hurd support the cameras.
