Lancaster County Public Schools, the Sheriff’s Office, and Kilmarnock Police met Thursday to address concerns after rumors of a potential school shooting circulated online. The division says there was no verified or credible threat to any campus. Officials traced the panic to a doctored image shared with staff that falsely appeared to come from the school. Out of caution, police had already increased their presence on campus. Schools now urge families to report any concerning posts or behaviors and stress that student and staff safety remains the top priority.
