The Lancaster County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a $174,000 contract to replace the roof on the county jail. The bid was awarded to Vertex Roofing Contractors of Manassas, the only firm to submit a proposal. County officials say the company previously completed roof repairs on the County Administration Building in 2024. Work is expected to address long-term maintenance needs at the jail facility.
