The Town of Kilmarnock will host the 70th anniversary celebration of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 33 on Saturday, June 14. The public event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Town Centre Park, with presentations and cupcakes donated by Walmart. At 1:30 p.m., a flag retirement ceremony will take place at the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department. Worn American flags may be brought to the event or dropped off in advance at Town Hall or the Lancaster Community Library.
