The Kilmarnock Planning Commission has recommended approval for rezoning a 2.5-acre parcel on East Church Street, clearing the way for a six-home single-family subdivision. Planners were told that the homes, 1,800 to 2,200 square feet, would meet market demand and provide a trail to Town Centre Park. The rezoning from R1 to R2 allows more density than the current zoning. The commission voted 4-0 in favor, and the application now moves to the town council.
