VDOT plans to begin repairs on the Jones Creek Landing Dock this winter, nearly two and a half years after it was closed for public safety. The pier was fenced off and decking boards removed in July 2023 to prevent access. Officials say the work will restore safe public use of the dock at the end of Route 638 in Richmond County. The project is part of ongoing efforts to maintain local waterways and recreational facilities for the Northern Neck community.
