Gloucester Shelter Seeks Host Sites for Winter Night Program

Gloucester United Emergency Shelter Team, or GUEST, is seeking four additional host sites to operate its winter night shelter from Dec. 1 through March 30. The program rotates weekly among churches or civic organizations, providing beds, meals, and supervision for those in need. The group says demand is expected to rise due to higher housing costs, and volunteers are needed to assist with meals, monitoring, and transportation. An open house for prospective hosts and volunteers is scheduled for next Wednesday at the day shelter.
