Gloucester Man Arrested After Two-Day Manhunt

A Gloucester County man is in custody after leading deputies on a two-day search. Authorities say Forty-something year old Douglas Neil Hegamyer was captured after running from deputies following a reported altercation involving a firearm.
The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office says Hegamyer fled into the woods near Harcum Road, prompting an extensive search across the area. Investigators later identified a possible hiding spot. Deputies found Hegamyer inside a detached garage and took him into custody without incident.
He now faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, shooting at an occupied vehicle, and illegally possessing a gun while under a protective order.
