50 year old Dustin Turner was granted parole Wednesday after spending three decades in Virginia prisons for a 1995 murder another man confessed to. Turner’s conviction for the death of Jennifer Evans was downgraded to accessory after the fact. The Virginia Parole Board voted 3-2 for his release. Turner plans to return to Indiana to reunite with his mother. Conditions include no contact with the Evans family. Supporters say Turner served far more time than he should have.
