First Segment Of Lancaster’s Triway Trail Opens

The first segment of Lancaster’s TriWay Trail opened this weekend, marking a major milestone in the county’s long-awaited project. The 3-mile loop, connecting Harris Road to Hills Quarter, officially was opened to the public on Saturday. The trail is designed to promote health, community connectivity, and economic growth. However, Phase 1B of the project, planned to extend the trail to the Compass Entertainment Complex, is on hold due to a freeze on nearly $1 million in federal funding. Nevertheless, officials remain optimistic about the future of the trail.
