First Responders, Neighbors Save Pups From Icy River

Quick action by first responders and neighbors saved three small dogs after they slid down an icy embankment and into the Rappahannock River in Center Cross. Virginia State Police, Essex County sheriff’s deputies, volunteer firefighters, EMTs, and nearby residents responded and worked in dangerous conditions to reach the animals.
