Boil Water Advisory Expands In Richmond After Water Plant Failure

More water woes for Richmond… The city has issued a boil water advisory affecting nearly all areas north of the James River, including VCU, the Fan and downtown, after clogged filters at the city’s water plant triggered a pressure drop. The advisory was later expanded to parts of South Richmond just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. Despite the advisory, Richmond Public Schools remain open. Grocery stores saw a rush as residents stocked up on bottled water.
