A major leak in the Dahlgren water system is draining an estimated 3 million gallons a month, and officials still don’t know where it’s coming from. King George Service Authority brought in the Virginia Rural Water Association to investigate. Crews identified four faulty fire hydrants, but those don’t account for the full loss. Cameras aren’t an option due to the type of water lines, so crews are using audio devices and system data to search. Until the leak is fixed, no new development can move forward there.
