A new AI-powered private school is opening this fall in Virginia, part of Texas-based Alpha Schools’ plan to double its U.S. presence. Students will spend two hours on core academics, with AI-generated personalized learning plans, while the rest of the day focuses on life skills such as entrepreneurship and grit. The school employs “guides” instead of traditional teachers, earning $100,000 annually to coach and motivate students. Tuition for K-3 students at the campus is $65,000, including outdoor playtime. Those behind the effort say the program aims to combine technology with the growing parental school choice movement.
