Gloucester Supervisors Meet

The Gloucester Board of Supervisors met recently, and among the items they discussed was consideration of a 14 percent increase in water and sewer rates following an update on public utilities. The proposal will be further discussed at a public hearing set for April. Supervisors also voted to allow public comments to be read during meetings, reversing a previous decision to handle them through alternative methods. The board also officially declared a local state of emergency due to a winter storm that hit the area.
