Virginia Leaders Pay Tribute To Former President Jimmy Carter

Elected leaders here in Virginia are paying tribute to former President Jimmy Carter following his death. Governor Glenn Youngkin called Carter a devoted public servant and said his faith always inspired others. Former Governor Terry McAullife credited Carter with helping get his first political job, calling him a decent, hardworking and honorable man. U.S. Senator Mark Warner also praised Carter as a “model of service late into life.” The 100-year-old former president died at his home in Georgia yesterday.
