The Colonial Seaport Foundation in Deltaville has announced a full summer sailing schedule for the Sloop Luna as part of the America250 celebration marking the nation’s 250th anniversary. The replica colonial trading sloop will serve as a fleet vessel during Sail250 events in Virginia and double as a floating visitor center across the Chesapeake Bay. Scheduled stops include Yorktown, Norfolk, Cape Charles, Gwynn’s Island, and Urbanna, with voyages running from June through August. Crewed entirely by volunteers, Luna will showcase colonial maritime history while representing Middlesex County throughout the anniversary year.
