The Colonial Seaport Foundation in Deltaville has announced a full sailing schedule for the Sloop Luna as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration, known as America250. The replica colonial trading sloop will serve as a fleet vessel during Sail250 events in Virginia and act as a floating visitor center around the Chesapeake Bay. Stops include Yorktown, Norfolk, Cape Charles, Gwynn’s Island, and Urbanna, with dates running from June through August. Crewed entirely by volunteers, Luna highlights colonial-era maritime history and will represent Middlesex County throughout the anniversary year.
