Lancaster supervisors have unanimously approved updates to small-scale solar and private heliport rules. The solar ordinance now limits ground-mounted panels to 25 kilowatts, 2,500 square feet, and 15 feet in height, with a special exception process for larger installations. Private heliports are now defined as “piloted” and prohibited in general residential zones, but they remain allowed by special exception in agricultural areas.
