The Middlesex County Board of Supervisors has approved a $12,000 expenditure to create a temporary gravel parking lot at Cooks Corner Central Park. The lot, which was installed earlier this fall, aims to keep vehicles off the road near the new Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office. Officials say a permanent lot location will be determined as part of a broader $2.9 million plan to restore the old Rappahannock Central Elementary School into a community center. The project will include playgrounds, courts, walking paths, and ADA and veteran-accessible parking once the full site plan is finalized.
