Gloucester County has activated new speed enforcement cameras in all school zones to reduce speeding and protect students. Cameras were reportedly first installed at Petsworth Elementary, Achilles Elementary, and Ware Academy, with a warning period through Jan. 4, 2026. Violations after that date will carry a $100 civil fine, mailed to the registered vehicle owner. Violations will not affect DMV points. The program aims to allow School Resource Officers to remain inside schools while automated enforcement handles speeding.
