Dominion Energy says its 2.6-gigawatt Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project will begin feeding power to the grid by March 2026. The project, about 30 miles off Virginia Beach, has installed all 176 turbine foundations and is on schedule for full completion later next year. Officials say the project supports Virginia’s rising energy demand, strengthens the regional economy, and benefits national security through upgrades to Naval Air Station Oceana. Construction now moves to turbine installation, with the first U.S.-built turbine vessel ready to begin work.
