Phillip A. Mumford is stepping down after more than 13 years leading the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck. Mumford, who has also been a frequent part of our morning show over the years, grew the organization from one small club serving 300 children to four counties with more than 800 kids, expanded staff and budget, and oversaw recovery from a 2018 fire. He will remain as a consultant while the Northumberland club undergoes renovations and a new youth center is built. The board will begin the search for a new executive director.
