Lancaster Electoral Board, County Clash Over Mold And Office Relocation

A mold problem inside the voter registration office has sparked a months-long dispute between the Lancaster County Electoral Board and county officials. The board says worsening conditions forced them to close the office June 25 and relocate to the Circuit Court Clerk’s office. A second inspection revealed heavy mold in multiple areas, including the HVAC system. County officials say emergency remediation is underway and a temporary trailer is planned, but the board says delays and lack of communication left them scrambling ahead of key election deadlines.
