Stratford Hall will mark its fifth annual First African Day on July 26, honoring the contributions of enslaved Africans and African Americans on its historic Potomac River property. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features 2025 Pulitzer Prize winner Dr. Edda Fields-Black, who will speak at 3 p.m. about Black freedom and history.
