<<The Virginia Department of Transportation is asking drivers to slow down and pay attention as more road projects get underway this spring. The agency says there were more than 37-hundred work zone crashes last year. Those crashes led to over 15-hundred injuries and more than a dozen deaths. VDOT is urging drivers to be aware of highway workers and observe posted speed limits in construction zones. The warning comes as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week.>>
