The White Stone Town Council has unanimously appointed real estate agent Hannah Williams to the town Planning Commission. Ten people, including three pedestrians, were killed in eight crashes across Virginia over the Labor Day weekend. State police investigated 848 crashes and cited more than 2,800 drivers for speeding and nearly 1,600 for reckless driving. Troopers also charged 74 people with driving under the influence.
