FDA Says Lettuce Test Was a False Positive
The FDA says a Taylor Farms iceberg lettuce sample initially reported positive for cyclospora was actually a false positive. Even so, officials say the correction does not change the investigation or voluntary recall tied to shredded lettuce from central Mexico. More than 1,600 illnesses and 94 hospitalizations have been reported across five states, including Virginia.
